Small Business Exporters have an opportunity to get grant funding to support a variety of export-related activities.  California has again been granted STEP Fund dollars to support small business exporter activities.  The U.S. Government, through the SBA (Small Business Administration) provides funding which is administered by California agencies appointed to do so by the Governor.  The SBA funds are supplemented by matching funds from California as well. On February 28, 2016, those involved with imports and exports are preparing to undergo a major transition.  As of that date, all entries must be filed using the new Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) system.  This applies to Customs and Border Patrol (CBP), as well as other export and import-related filings to other federal agencies.
